Bleu de Nîmes
With its texture and colour this collection reminds me of the sturdy fabric that was used to make the workers outfits at the end of the 19th century in the city of Nîmes in Provence ..
It was dyed indigo…and was later best known as:
Nîmes also happens to be a city close to my heart as close to my hometown.
One version has a “naked’ rim that reveals the clay, thus making it very earthy and natural. The other has a white rim, still with texture.
